20.03.2025, 16.00, S5 Presentation and workshop “Introduction to Julia”!
Julia is an open source programming language with scientific computing as one of its main targets. It allows for fast prototyping while also directly producing fast, high performance as well as reproducible code.
In this workshop we give an introduction to the language, how to install Julia, get started and work with Pluto notebooks. A main focus is based on how to start programming in Julia if you come from Python, Matlab or R. Afterwards we will help you get started, work on concrete ideas and first small projects.
15.10.2024 At 18.00 we meet in G1 n the Gløshaugen Campus of NTNU to have some lightning talks. Everyone is invited to contribute a 5-10 minute talk about anything they do in Julia. Feel free to sent the slides upfront already to Ronny. The venue is easy to reach, take either bus line 3 (to Lohove) or 22 (to Othilienborg/Vestlia) and get off at “Gløshaugen”. Then the Geologi - building is just on the other side of the street the bus stop, so turn left to find its entrance. If the door is locked, the room has its windows at the same side as the entrance on ground floor.
20.09.2024 First meeting of the Julia User group Trondheim at Work Work.
